Carlos Alberto Primo Braga, a Brazilian national, is a key Bank expert on information and communications technologies, the digital divide, trade in services, and intellectual property rights. He is the Senior Manager of the Informatics Program, Informations Solutions Group. In this responsibility, he oversees the implementation of the Development Gateway portal. Before assuming this position in June 2001, Mr. Braga was the manager of the Information for Development Program (infoDev), a multi-donor grant facility administered by the Global Information and Communications Technologies Department of the World Bank.
Steve Denning was the Program Director, Knowledge Management at the World Bank from 1996 to 2000 where he spearheaded the Bank’s knowledge program. He now works with organizations in the U.S., Europe, Asia and Australia on knowledge management and organizational storytelling. Mr. Denning also conducts workshops around the world in which he coaches executives on the use of storytelling in organizational settings. In November 2000, Steve Denning was selected as one of the world’s ten Most Admired Knowledge Leaders (Teleos) along with Jack Welch (GE) and John Chambers (CISCO).
Chuck Lucier, a Senior Vice-President of Booz Allen Hamilton, was twice the firm's Chief Knowledge Officer. He has held a variety of other leadership positions at Booz Allen including Chief Marketing Officer, leader of the Consumer Products & Retail Practice, leader of the Building Products Practice, Managing Partner of the Cleveland office, and twice a member of the Board of Directors. Chuck consults with clients on strategy and knowledge management issues.
Dr. Alan Marwick has worked on the application of nuclear methods of analysis to research problems in materials science and the effect of radiation on solids, first at the AEA Harwell Laboratory in Britain and then at the Watson Research Center. More recently he has led groups working on on-line access to the scientific literature, digital libraries, information retrieval, natural language processing, and knowledge management. In addition to his technical interests, he works on the practical problems of applied research and technology transfer in an industrial environment.
