Peter Farrell Challenge Cup seeks entrepreneurial spirits
22 August 2007
Aspiring entrepreneurs have the opportunity to test their ideas for new business ventures in the Peter Farrell Challenge Cup. The competition attracts students from AGSM, UNSW and other Universities offering programs in innovation and entrepreneurship.
ICE President Eduardo Chavez said the Peter Farrell Challenge Cup gives students hands-on experience in business planning.
“Submitting a business idea to the competition helps budding entrepreneurs to hone their business planning skills, build links with industry, and give entrepreneurial aspirations an opportunity to grow.”
“Importantly, finalists in the PFC learn vital presentation skills and how to effectively show their business idea to venture capitalists.”
“Students have until 14 September to submit their business idea, so the pressure is on,” Mr Chavez said.
Prizes include $10,000 cash, strategy consulting sessions with The Kalori Group, and legal consultation with Deacons Lawyers. First prize winners are also invited to attend the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award dinner in Melbourne.

The Peter Farrell Challenge Cup will be presented at UNSW’s Scientia Building on 22 November 2007.
