AGSM MBA ranked top in Australia and Asia by Forbes Magazine
17 August 2007
The AGSM MBA Program has been ranked as the leading full-time MBA Program in Australia and Asia, and number 6 amongst non-US programs in the latest Forbes biennial rankings. The AGSM MBA was the only Australian program to make the list of the top ten non-US two year MBA programs.
The Forbes ranking measures the financial return on investment gained by completing an MBA. Forbes surveyed full-time MBA graduates from 2002 to determine their five-year salary gain, allowing for tuition fees and foregone salary, to calculate return on investment.
Professor Alec Cameron, Dean of the Australian School of Business said: “This result, which reveals that AGSM graduates have the highest return on their investment in Asia and the 6th highest outside of the US, reinforces the position of the AGSM MBA as the leading full-time program in Australia.
“AGSM graduates had an average salary before the MBA of $US43,000. Five years after graduation their average salary was $US157,000.
“AGSM alumni had average salary gains of $US59,000 over the five-year period after taking into account tuition fees and foregone salary, and needed only four years to break even on their investment. This represents a supernormal return of 32%.
“AGSM alumni have participated in four biennial Forbes surveys since 2001. The AGSM MBA has been consistently ranked as the top program in Australia and Asia in these surveys,” says Professor Cameron.
