AGSM City2Surf team raises $4500
07 August 2007
AGSM students, alumni and staff will don running shoes and marathon gear this weekend to fundraise for their favourite charities in Sydney’s annual City2Surf race.
The AGSM team has raised over $4500 so far for various charities such as Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick, UNICEF, Starlight Children’s Foundation, Care Australia, RSPCA and Prostrate Cancer Foundation of Australia. Together they will compete in the event by running, jogging or walking 14km from Sydney CBD to Bondi Beach.
Sharyn Roberts, AGSM MBA Director, said the team would be proudly flying the AGSM flag while working towards fundraising goals.
“One of the wonderful aspects of this race is the strong focus on having fun whilst doing some good.
“Large numbers of participants are involved in the City2Surf campaign, so a lot of good is achieved at once,” Ms Roberts said.
