Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC)
Australian Government law requires international students and their families to purchase and maintain Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) for the duration of their studies from the time of arrival in Australia. The purchase of OSHC health insurance is required as a condition of the Australian student visa.

To assist you we may pay your OSHC premiums directly to our preferred accredited provider, OSHC Worldcare. If you ask the University to arrange it for you, we will receive a commission which is used to improve services to students. More information related to this payment arrangement will be forwarded with your offer letter.

Please note that there are 4 registered providers of OSHC (including OSHC Worldcare). If you decide to purchase your OSHC from one of the other providers, you will not be financially disadvantaged but you must arrange it directly with the provider yourself and provide documentation of the purchase with your acceptance of offer. The other OSHC providers are: BUPA Australia Health, Medibank Private and Australian Health Management (AHM). Further information about other OSHC providers is available from the Department of Health and Ageing Care website.
