AGSM MBA (Executive) Scholarships, available for new students commencing 2009

Offering a full scholarship payable as a tuition waiver
This is a new scholarship that has been established by the AGSM Alumni to encourage students to undertake the AGSM MBA (Executive) program at the Australian School of Business and is available to applicants who do not receive financial support from their employers and are not in receipt of any other scholarships. The scholarship will be awarded for the duration of the AGSM MBA (Executive) program, including the Strategic Management Year (SM Year).

Applications for this scholarship are to be completed through the UNSW Scholarships Office

AGSM MBA Scholarships available for Class of 2010

Andrew Thyne Reid Scholarship
Full-time MBA & MBA (Executive) Final Year entrants only
The Andrew Thyne Reid Charitable Trust is proud to offer executives from the not-for-profit sector, preferably charities, the Andrew Thyne Reid Scholarship. The Scholarship of up to AUD$25,000 will be awarded to offset tuition for the full-time AGSM MBA program. In the case that no full-time AGSM MBA applicant is eligible, applications will be sought from MBA (Executive) students entering the Strategic Management Year and two scholarships to offset tuition will be awarded at a value of AUD$12,500 each for January and July intakes.

Broadleaf Capital International
AGSM MBA Full-time applicants only
The Scholarship of up to $10,000 tuition funding has been established to encourage applicants who have an interest in pursuing a course of study and/or a career related to risk management or corporate governance to undertake full-time study at the AGSM MBA program in the Australian School of Business.

Joseph Barling Fellowship
AGSM MBA Full-time applicants only
The Fellowship of up to $30,000 paid as a tuition fee waiver was created under the will of the late Joseph Somers Barling to encourage and support UNSW engineering graduates to undertake full-time postgraduate study in the AGSM MBA Program at the Australian School of Business.

Sir Walter Scott Scholarship
AGSM MBA Full-time applicants only
The Scholarship of up to $25,000 paid as a tuition fee waiver was established with funding from the James N. Kirby Foundation to encourage individuals with a strong leadership interest to undertake full-time study in the AGSM MBA program at the Australian School of Business

AGSM MBA AGA (Australian Defence Force Academy Graduates Association) Scholarship
Full-time MBA applicants only
This Scholarship of up to AUD$25,000 tuition waiver has been established for an AGA (Australian Defence Force Academy Graduates Association) partner with demonstrated leadership skills to undertake the full-time MBA program.

Boyarsky International Travel Scholarship
AGSM MBA Full-time applicants only
This Scholarship has been established to encourage students in the AGSM MBA, the School of Civil Engineering or the Faculty of the Built Environment to undertake a period of study at an approved overseas university.

AGSM MBA Dean's Scholarship
Full-time MBA applicants only
The AGSM Dean's Scholarships have been established to encourage diversity in the full-time student body. Aspiring individuals from under-represented groups such as women, candidates from the not-for-profit sector, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders and candidates seeking re-entry to the workforce are encouraged to apply. Valued at up to AUD$25,000 each. The successful applicants must demonstrate the ability to work in a team environment and possess excellent communication skills.

Please be aware that you must have received an Offer to commence study in the MBA Program in order to apply for these scholarships.

Please also note that the Selection Committee requires up to four weeks to assess completed AGSM MBA applications. Therefore, applicants should not delay in submitting their completed MBA applications if they hope to receive an outcome in time to apply for the AGSM MBA Program-specific scholarships appearing on this site.

All applicants who submit completed applications by the second round MBA application deadline (15th of October) will continue to be automatically assessed for the AGSM MBA Merit and Excellence scholarships.

AGSM MBA Excellence Scholarship
AGSM Full-time MBA applicants only
A limited number of scholarships are awarded each year to outstanding incoming students who have not been awarded another substantial scholarship.
No application is required – successful MBA applicants are automatically considered for this award.
