AGSM Alumni
A vital component to any of the world’s outstanding business schools is its Alumni. The AGSM Alumni Association consists of over 11,000 members spread across 68 countries. They are influential business and government leaders who form a passionate and unique global community staying connected with the School and each other.
As an AGSM Alumni, you will have the opportunity to be part of this elite community of business leaders. Recently, six AGSM alumni have been named as Australia’s leading entrepreneurs. They are:
Jennifer Cordingley
Jennifer learned her trade in large advertising agencies but the experience also showed her a gap in the market she has successfully filled with her boutique business Brand Marque.
Brad Walsh
Brad has had an accomplished career as a research scientist, but says that the scientist in him “doesn’t get a lot of air-time” since he started his own biotechnology venture, Minomic.
Derek Myers
Derek has had several offers to either merge with competitors or sell his company, and while that may make sense from a “pure return perspective” it is his passion for running his own business which prevents him from taking that step.
Daniel Johnson
Daniel started his insurance business four years ago “as a lone broker in an unforgiving world” but now says his ambition to open an office for his company is London is “quite viable, given our growth.”
Tony Harb
Tony’s business, Sydney based InConsult, was recently named in BRW’s Upstarts list of Australia’s fastest growing businesses – a listing which is the culmination of five years hard work for the AGSM alumnus, who graduated with an MBA (Executive) in 2000.
Don Holley
Don says he treated every business he managed as if it was his own, so it was inevitable that one day he would turn his entrepreneurial talents to a start-up venture for himself.
