Rod Lopez is currently the Head of Manufacturing in Cochlear Ltd, an ASX listed company dedicated to the design, manufacture and supply of hearing implants and accessories. Rod is an MBA graduate and a graduate member of the Institute of Company Directors, having served as non-executive director in the not-for-profit sector.

Rod has held a range of senior management positions in companies such as GM and Shaw Industries. Among his most significant achievements is the design and launch of the Holden's HFV6 engine plant in Port Melbourne, a $450 million project where Rod had the opportunity to lead the operations team. Rod has also led the transformation of Cochlear's manufacturing operations into an environment showcasing best practice tools and techniques.

Rod is the managing director of Leanergy Developments, a company Rod set up to enable his experience in lean thinking and operations management across the broad supply chain to be shared with MBA students and organisations in the Asia Pacific region.

A seasoned practitioner and lecturer at post-graduate level, Rod's enthusiasm and experience in operational improvement and human capital development provide his clients with a solid start and on-going change management coaching and advice.
