Steve Klomp


Profile summary
Steve is a university lecturer of more than eight years standing. Prior to that he had a marketing and management career spanning more than 15 years. Steve has worked in the telecommunications, construction, electrical, radio, car rental and tourism industries.

Steve Klomp has lectured at every university in Perth as well as overseas. He has run units in Malaysia, Singapore, Perth and China and he has also conducted external and internet-based teaching, particularly to university students in Africa.

His teaching and business expertise is in Marketing, Management, Media and Media Planning, Strategic Planning, Exporting, Digital Marketing and Business to Business.

Steve Klomp is also a consultant to industry Australia wide. He advises on Strategic Planning, Facility and Project Management, Quality Assurance and training needs.

Steve runs his own small training and consulting business and also has an electrical and energy management consulting business. He is also active in radio and has ten years experience in this industry – as a market planner, a producer, copywriter and an announcer.

Steve Klomp is in demand as a trainer for some of the larger companies in Australia and also teaches public speaking and presentation skills.

Steve Klomp has professional qualifications in Marketing (his Masters is in Marketing) and Management and is also a qualified teacher.

His research interests include Services Marketing and the Management of Quangos. That said, he is interested in all facets of business and the business world. For example, he recently delivered a paper on Monetary Union of Asia at a conference in Malaysia.

Steve Klomp married Carla nearly twenty nine years ago. They have five children. He coaches his younger children in T Ball and football, reads voraciously, has an opinion on everything, loves strategic planning for business clients, wants to do stand up comedy, loves to ride motorcycles and plans to get his private pilot’s licence this year.
