Andreas Kiermeier


Profile summary
Andreas is the Program Leader of the Food Safety Program (SA Research & Development Institute). He provides consultancy services to food companies and uses his statistical expertise and experience to undertake national food safety research projects.

In 1996/97 Andreas worked as a process improvement engineer with COMALCO Aluminium, before embarking on a PhD in statistics. He graduated from The University of Adelaide in 2004. Since then he has worked as a statistical consultant, before taking up his current appointment.

Andreas has a wealth of teaching experience. Since 1999 he has taught undergraduate & postgraduate courses at The University of Adelaide. He facilitates a data analysis course for the Australian Graduate School of Management, and he designs and runs tailored training courses for national food companies. He is highly regarded by his students for his down-to-earth approach and for presenting statistical concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
