Andrew Fairweather

Profile summary
Andrew has been in employed in the financial services industry for 15 years in various marketing and distribution roles. Currently he is the Chief Executive Officer of MMC Asset Management where he been since August 2004 charged with strategy design and implementation. MMC is a boutique Australian Equities Manager founded in 1993, which manages approximately $600m on behalf of investors. From 2000 to 2004, Andrew was the Head of Business Development for AMP’s Savings and Retirement Division, responsible for the positioning and sales of AMP’s products within AMP’s internal distribution channels with annual sales of over $3bn. Before joining AMP, Andrew was employed at Salomon Smith Barney Asset Management (nee JP Morgan Asset Management) as Vice President Retail Sales responsible for funds management distribution and marketing within Australia, where he spent 4 years. Prior to this, Andrew spent 5 years with Prudential Funds management in various business development and sales roles.

Andrew has lectured at the University of Technology (Sydney) Masters of Technology in Strategy and Sustainability and guest lectured at both the Master Program at the Securities Institute on Financial Services Marketing and AGSM MBA (Executive) on Marketing Management.

Andrew enjoys classical music (plays the cello), windsurfing, swimming, politics and Foreign Affairs.
