Wayne Dwyer
Profile summary
Wayne Dwyer is an academic who specialises in teaching postgraduate economics to non-economists. Wayne has taught on several MBA programs in Australia (Australian Graduate School of Management, the Sydney Graduate School of Management, the University of Technology, Sydney, and the Australian Catholic University) and internationally (England, Sri Lanka, China). He is the invited lecturer in managerial economics on the International MBA program at the South China University of Technology, Guangzhou.
While in academia, Wayne has taught some 20 different subjects, across many diverse programs, and has held important administrative posts relating to onshore and offshore programs.
Wayne is the co-author of several study guides for economics textbooks and his co-authored textbook on The Economics of Tourism is being launched by Channelview Publications in December 2009. Wayne has also written or co-written numerous national and international journal articles ranging from property issues to Chinese agriculture and is a speaker on the international conference circuit. His current research is focused on the challenges that face the development of the Chinese economy.
Wayne holds a Masters degree in Business (by thesis), a Diploma of Education, a Bachelors degree in Town Planning, a Bachelors degree in Arts. Before taking up a post in academic, he worked in both the printing and newspaper industries and brings practical experience to his teaching and research.
