Keith Dawes


Profile summary
Keith Dawes is a Management Consultant who specialises in Organisational Behaviour. He holds three University degrees in related areas, is a Registered Psychologist in NSW and is an Adjunct Faculty member of AGSM MBA Programs. Keith holds membership of the Australian Psychological Society and the Institute of Management Consultants of Australia.

Keith has facilitated Executive Develop­ment Workshops for the Senior Executive Services of the Department of Health, NSW and Sydney Water Ltd. Keith also facilitated Assessment Centres for Westpac and AVCO Finances. Keith worked as the Recruit­ment Assessment Contractor through­out Australia for Deloitte for approximately five years.

Keith has conducted workshops for more than fifty organisations in Australia. These workshops have included team development, strategic planning, business performance enhancement, conflict resolution, culture and diversity appreciation, tender debriefing and business negotiation.

Keith is in the final stages of writing his doctoral thesis with the AGSM. His study, “The Tacit Assumptions of Senior Managers”, looks at Knowledge in Organisations on such issues as Communication and Inter­personal Skill, Political Skill and Business Acumen (“Shrewdness”).

During the late 1980’s and early 1990’s he was Sports Psychologist with the Marconi Soccer Club, the Penrith Panthers Rugby League Club, the Warringah Dolphins and Sydney Olympic and Wollongong Wolves Soccer Clubs.

Keith spent some thirty years playing rock, jazz and blues music as a bass player. He nowadays is more likely to be found at the Opera House in the audience at opera or ballet performances. He has fourteen acres of wine grapes at his home in Picton. He loves to read and write in his spare time.
