David Bryant


Profile summary
David Bryant has worked in the field of human resources for over twenty years. His extensive experience covers the full scope of human resource management. He has been responsible for the creation of significant workplace change in complex environments through effective human resource strategies. He has worked with senior teams and board members in a number of Companies focusing on the alignment between desired business outcomes and human resource initiatives.

His most recent HR role was at Insurance Australia Group where he was the Head of Human Resources. Prior to this role he worked at Qantas in a number of senior human resource roles. He has worked in the Australian Public Service with senior human resource roles at the Special Broadcasting Service (SBS) and Centrelink in Sydney and Canberra. He has a detailed understanding of the system of Government and is equally at home with public and private sectors.

David is currently a Partner in executive search, working in the Talent Partners business. In this role he works extensively with senior executives and board members covering a broad spectrum of businesses. He also provides guidance to the consulting arm of the business which is focused on outsourced human resources.

David has a Master of Business Administration with Distinction from Lancaster University in the UK, a Bachelor of Business from the University of Western Sydney, a Certificate in Superannuation Management from Macquarie University and a diploma from the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

He currently serves on a number of not for profit Boards and is Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Kindergarten Union, a not for profit childcare provider with over 150 centres. He has extensive experience on superannuation Boards from his career in the private sector.
