Profile summary
With a background in science, counselling and management development, Gail has been a member of the adjunct faculty of AGSM MBA Programs since the early '90s, as WA course facilitator for the MBA (Executive) in Managing People and Organisations, Managerial Skills and Managing Change and on-line in the GCCM (Approaches to Change; Change Skills and Redesigning the Organisation).
Gail has lectured in Perth, Singapore, Shanghai and Manila for the UWA Graduate School of Management (Management of Organisations, HR Management, Organisational Behaviour and Social Ethical & Environmental Issues in Business) the GSM’s Academic Team Leader and lead lecturer for the Singapore Armed Forces Training Institute, TriServices Course. For balance, she has written and lectured for Edith Cowan University (Women and Work; Psychology of Women; Helping Skills in Community Settings). She has a Masters in Management Research with a focus on executive coaching
Gail maintains a busy consultancy providing consulting, training, development and forensic HR services (workplace investigations). She has written, produced and directed training videos and self-paced learning CDs in management and is an experienced adventure trainer. Her most recent article (On Merit Alone, Australian HR Monthly; August 2001) challenges the ethics, equity and application of the merit principle in selection and appraisal. She is a contributing author to the Instructors Manual of a best selling OB text (Organisational Behaviour: Concepts & Controversy, McShane & Traviglione; 2002). She is undertaking research into how Australian organisations define bullying and the implications of definitions for reporting and management of grievances, discipline and performance.
