Greg Bourke


Profile summary
Greg Bourke has worked in business management positions since 1981. With over 25 years of experience in the food industry, Greg started in finance and management accounting roles, leading to General Management and CFO positions.

Greg joined George Weston Foods in 1988 and after many years in Chartered Accounting and manufacturing finance roles, he was appointed Finance Manager at Weston Milling North Melbourne. Greg was appointed General Manager of the business in 1990 and held the broader responsibility of Southern States General Manager until being transferred to New Zealand.

Greg was based in Auckland for eight years from 1997 as Group General Manager for the George Weston Foods Milling and Animal Feed Division.

In 2006 Greg returned to Melbourne to be part of the turnaround team at Don’s Smallgoods (division of George Weston Foods). He spent 2 years restructuring, re-engineering and rebuilding the business in the C.F.O. role, working in a small, close knit leadership group to make rapid and sustained improvements to the business.

In 2008 Greg was asked to join the Board and become C.E.O. of Australia’s leading publicly owned food company - Patties Foods Ltd. A growing food company with icon brands that Aussies love – Four ‘n Twenty, Herbert Adams, Nannas, and Patties.

Greg has been involved in teaching since 2005. After teaching corporate leadership skills with G.W.F. for many years, he commenced teaching in the AGSM MBA Executive program in 2008. Greg taught both the Corporate Finance and Accounting and Financial Management subjects.

Qualifications
Greg completed his first degree in 1980 with a Bachelor of Business from Victoria University Footscray and completed the AGSM MBA in 1997.
