Greg Beashel
Profile summary
Greg Beashel is a graduate of the AGSM MBA Executive program, completing the course back in 1999. His undergraduate degree is in Chemical Engineering, completed at UNSW back in 1992.
Greg has been involved in tertiary teaching since 1992, where he started as a laboratory demonstrator for first year chemistry students at UNSW whilst working on a research project looking into emissions from household gas appliances. He has taught on the AGSM MBA Executive program in Operations Management, Data Analysis, Economics and Marketing.
Greg has a wide range of experience in the corporate world, both in Australia and overseas across a variety of operational, engineering and commercial disciplines. As well as his current Adjunct faculty role with UNSW, he is currently employed as Chief Operating Officer by Queensland Sugar Limited (QSL). QSL is a sugar exporting company based in Brisbane with six sites at port locations North of Brisbane. QSL handles over 3 million tonnes of sugar each year and operates over 2.5 million tonnes of port warehouse capacity, ship loading operations and automated train and truck stations. His other experience includes almost fifteen years with CSR based in Perth, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane in a variety of jobs ranging from a shiftwork production role at a sugar refinery in Perth to a marketing role with CSR's export marketing group in Sydney. His career highlights include visiting, working in and successfully exporting to over twenty countries including some very non-traditional markets for Australian products such as Iran, FE Russia and Saudi Arabia.
Greg is married and has two children. His interests include travel, politics, watching and playing most sports including tennis, skiing and mountain biking.
