Career Services provides a range of services to the Full-Time MBAs and final year MBA (Executive) students enrolled in the AGSM programs. Services are tailored to each customer group and vary depending on demand.
Career Services is an integral part of the MBA Program, providing training programs, information resources, advice, counselling, and recruitment services. This enables students to manage their careers and assists recruiters through the process of employing AGSM MBA students.
Information Sessions
Throughout the year many companies come to the AGSM to promote their business to MBA students. These events are usually co-hosted by the student clubs, are less formal than the Careers Week presentations and provide students with great networking opportunities. Past events have included case studies, competitions, wine-tasting and alumni speakers.

Careers' Week
Careers' Week 2008 will be held from Monday 8th September to Friday 12th September 2008. Over 30 companies from a broad range of industry sectors will be participating and presentations will be made to our full time MBAs and Executive Year students.
CV Year Book
The Year Book for the Class of 2008 - 2009 was launched in July 2008 and contains over 300 one page CV's for the large majority of all our full-time MBAs, Executive Year MBAs and Hong Kong-based MBA students. All of these students are invited to join Careers Week.
Jobs Online
Jobs Online is for companies and recruiters who are looking to place MBA graduates and post vacancies on the AGSM online Job Board. All enrolled MBA students and AGSM alumni have access to the AGSM online Job Board.
Career Management Program
The Career Management Program is designed to provide students with a set of skills to assist the proactive management of their careers throughout their entire working life. Through Self Assessment, it identifies career/life preferences, describing practical methods to research the market and detailing techniques that can be applied in job search. It is comprised of the following components: Self Assessment I & II; Career Strategy & Planning; Playing the Interview Game; Resume Writing; Networking Skills; and Offer Negotiation. The Careers Services team will post seminar presentations in the archive section on the website once they have been delivered to the class:

Management Projects
The Management Projects Program is an academic program. They bring together a client's business concern with an AGSM consulting team to focus on an issue of strategic importance. Conducted over a period of 12 weeks, these projects can address a wide range of business issues:
- Strategic reviews analyses of strategic problems
- Identification and evaluation of potential business opportunities
- Improvement of organisational performance and measurement, and
- Analyses and recommendations of various functional concerns including;operations, finance, marketing, organisational behaviour, economics and general management
Management Projects provide substantial value for all parties involved: the client, the students and the academic supervisor. They are undertaken at the beginning of each academic term and they begin once the Management Project team scopes out a business issue or question and accepts the consulting assignment. Project teams have performed strategic consulting ofr over 100 organisations from the corporate, government and non-profit sectors since 1996. Clients include:

Internships
Internships are short-term projects with companies pursuing MBA graduates. They usually take place over 8-12 weeks during the course of the MBA. The scope is tailored according to the company’s requirements and can range from product development to strategy implementation. The benefits include access to the country’s strongest MBA students, additional resources and the opportunity to offer a position to top talent prior to other potential employers.
