The Marcus Cohen Award recognises and rewards involvement in learning through excellence in teaching. It is presented to an AGSM adjunct faculty member who has taught across the MBA (Executive) program.
“Receiving the Marcus Cohen Award is such an honour as Marcus was the 'Master' adjunct faculty member,” said Ms Grusin.
“I teach in the Organisational Behaviour Cluster so we are helping students to understand, interpret and predict behaviour. As a result we hope that they will become better managers, with empathy and the ability to engage and inspire their people. We also hope that the learning is helpful across all aspects of their lives.
“It's rewarding to see the students email me, sometimes well after they have finished their MBA, to say they had an 'aha' insight into a problem at work. It’s great to see them applying their studies to resolve work issues.
"I feel my work is done when a student says ‘Wendy, my life will never be the same. I went to a movie last night and instead of sitting back and relaxing, I kept reinterpreting behaviour of the characters in terms of the course materials.’
“I am genuinely honoured to be associated with AGSM and the high calibre of its faculty and students,” said Ms Grusin.
